Composition:
Each uncoated tablet contains:
Aunla (Emblica officinalis) – 25 mg.
Sounf (Foeniculum vulgare) – 31 mg.
Revandchini (Rheum Emodi) – 20 mg.
Balaharde (Terminalia chebula) – 15 mg.
Balatagra (Valeriana wallichii) – 24 mg.
Chitrak (Plumbago zeylanica) – 20 mg.
Talispatra (Abies webbiana) – 8 mg.
Papai (Carica papaya) – 7 mg.
Kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa) – 5 mg.
Junglee Elaichi (Amomum subulatum) – 2 mg.
Chirata (Swertia chirata) – 5 mg.
Dhania (Coriandrum sativum) – 2 mg.
Bhangra (Eclipta alba) – 20 mg.
Haldi (Curcuma longa) – 22 mg.
Sunth (Zingiber officinale) – 5 mg.
Ajwan (Ptychotis ajowan) – 8 mg.
Pipli (Piper longum) – 2.5 mg.
Jeera (Cuminum cyminum) – 2.5 mg.
Asgandh (Withania somnifera) – 2.5 mg.
Pharmacology:
In small doses Revandchini and Balaharde act as astringent bitters and are useful in diarrhoea.
Saunf relieves flatulence. Aunla is often used for regulating bowel movement. Chitrak is useful in dyspepsia, piles and stomach troubles. Talispatra is a carminative, stomachic and astringent.
Papai is useful in deficiency of gastric juices in dyspepsia and intestinal irritation. Kutki is used in acidity, Bilious dyspepsia, Indigestion and loss of appetite. Balatagra is stomachic.Haldi is aromatic, carminative and anthelminitic.
Asgandh is tonic. Junglee Elaichi, Chiratha, Dhania, Bhangra, Ajowan, Pipli, Sunth and Jeera are very good digestives, carminatives and stomachics.
Indications:
Weak digestion, flatulence, nervous dyspepsia. Disordered functioning
of liver. Its biphasic action is useful in both hyperacidity and hypoacidity.
