Active ingredients of Zymolax
1. Errand Brusht Haritki: An herbal compound powder made from Errand and Haritki churna. According to Ayurvedic traditions, Erand, known more commonly as the Castor Oil plant, is a powerful purgative. These simply make the stool slippery, so that it slides through the intestine more easily
2. Cassia leaves ( senna leaves): It is known that extractable inorganic salts can exert purgative action.Calcium , magnesium , & potassium exist as salts of organic acids in senna leaves & may account for a part of the purgative action of senna. Medical action of the Senna can be attributed mainly to the anthraquinone glycosides .Breakdown of it in the digestive tract ,finally result in increased intestinal muscle contraction. In addition, its mucilage content decreases bodily absorption of fluid leading to an enhancement of the final laxative action.
3. Mirabilis Jalapa (Gulbaksh): The root bark contains glycosidium resin which is 10 %. It also contains a glycoside named turoethin that provides it the purgative action.It is vata and pitta moderator. It helps in improving the peristaltic movements in the body therefore are used as laxative.
4. Ajwain (Apium leptophyllum Seeds): It has antimicrobial & antioxidant activity .It is used for its digestive & antiflatulance property.Black Salt Black salt is considered a cooling spice in ayurvedic medicine and is used as a laxative and digestive aid. It is also believed to relieve intestinal gas and heartburn. This is used as a stool softener and is a remedy for constipation.
5. Saindhav lavana: Saindhav is believed to be dominant in Sattva guna which promotes positive attitude and purity of mind.Saindhava Lavanam is sweet, carminative and digestive.It is light and lubricating. It improves taste.it is cooling and aphrodisiac. It is small and penetrates quickly.
6. Ebbelia ribes: Appetiser Mild laxative Carminative: Either prevents formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract or facilitates the expulsion of gas Anthelmintic: Useful against tapeworms, but not other parasites.
